Yaomin Zhang holds a Bachelor of Laws from China University of Political Science and Law, a Master of Laws from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, and serves as a part-time postgraduate supervisor at the Law School of Nanchang University. He passed the inaugural National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination in 2002 and commenced his legal practice thereafter.
He joined the China Association for Promoting Democracy (CAPD) in January 2006. In 2016, he was recommended as a member of the 12th Nanchang County Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)人民日报. In 2017, he was elected Member of the Supervision Committee and Deputy Director of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of CAPD.
Currently, he is a Senior Partner Attorney at Jiangxi QZ&WD Law Firm, as well as a member of both the Education & Training Committee and the Finance, Securities & Insurance Professional Committee under Jiangxi Lawyers Association.
